






The Scottish duo The MsFits, actress Fiona Knowles and writer Rona Munro, toured Britain from 1986 to 1991 with performances of The Broch, MsFits Xmas Show, Batquine and Roberta, MsFits Cabaret and Everyone's Gone To Dunoon. Rona gave up the performing side in 1992 due to writing and family commitments.
From 1992 Fiona continued as a solo artist exclusively touring under the banner of The MsFits Theatre Company. She performed The Seven Ages of Woman, Rabbie Burns Yer Tea's Oot!, Burying Dad,
I Spy Mrs Peery, which won her an Evening News Capital Award, Let's Play Murder and Walking on The Roof, short listed along with the Perrier Award winner's League of Gentlemen and the lads from Chewing the Fat, for the London Weekend Television Comedy Awards at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1997. She followed that with the much acclaimed Granny Knot in 1998, Haunted in 1999, the Huge Success Sell Out Show Sex & Chocolate in 2000, Love and Money in 2001, the Record Selling Stick Granny on the Roof-Rack in 2002, Women On The Verge Of A T Junction in 2003, Catch a Falling Star in 2004, The Good, The Bad & The Botoxed in 2005 and Secrets & Lies & DIY in 2006. Fiona has worked in Stage, TV and Radio since 1975, taking part in many award winning productions.

Rona Munro is one of Scotland's most successful playwrights. A multi award winner for her play Bold Girls, radio plays Watching Waiters and Dirt Under The Carpet and stage play The Maiden Stone which won the Peggy Ramsay Award. She received a Thames Television Award and wrote the award winning Ken Loach film Ladybird, Ladybird. TV credits include Casualty, Dr Who, Men of the Month and BAFTA nominated Bumping the Odds. Her film Aimee & Jaguar was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and won two Silver Bear Awards. She wrote Snake for Hampstead Theatre and an adaptation of The House of Bernarda Alba for Shared Experience Theatre Co. Iron was premiered by the Traverse Theatre in 2002 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to rave reviews and transferred to The Royal Court in London. Best play of 2002 - Guardian. Iron has recently been produced in Hamburg, Singapore, Brazil, Athens and Japan. Bold Girls and Iron were both produced in Manhattan and have had rave reviews in the New Yorker. Her most recent film REHAB was screened by the BBC in 2003. She has been commissioned by, among others, The National Theatre, The RSC and The Royal Court; for TV, Catherine Bailey Ltd and for Film, 4Way Pictures. Productions for 2006 included adaptations of Strawberries in January for the Traverse Theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe, Mary Barton for Manchester Royal Exchange, Watership Down for The Lyric Hammersmith, Long Time Dead for Paines Plough and Indian Boy for the RSC.
